Action

January, 2013. After last year, coming back to Japan was a no brainer and this year was even better. After last year we did a bit more exploring and found some new zones and areas that we had never been before. We were in Niseko for just under 3 weeks and apart from one day when it rained, we got 15-25 cm of new snow everyday... it just didn't stop. I think we must of seen the sun no more than a handfull of times with only one bluebird day.

As well as scoping new zones, we hopped on Black Diamond Tours' famous Mushroom tour twice where we drove around in a van finding avi barriers, pillows, steep lines (which are hard to find in Japan) and snow almost as deep as we are tall. Thanks to Gordy, Colin, Mitch, Hayden and Jordy from Back Diamond Tours for taking us out.

As usual it was hard to find a balance between skiing and filming but we managed it and had an awesome time during our short trip.

Surfing Baler, Philippines

October, 2013.

Three weeks before the trip my friend called me up and asked if I wanted to go to the Philippines on a Surf trip. He said "It's cheap as chips mate We will spend less there then we will at home" and I was sold. I checked the dairy and had nothing on so I thought why not.

There are many surf spots to go in the Philippines but they are becoming incredible popular due to the high quality of waves and as I stated earlier, cheap Island life. So we picked Baler, a lesser known spot where we were hoping for less crowds. Baler delivered. Not only were we among the few few foreigners but the lineups were generally small and in some spots we were the only ones there. The locals there were super friendly and happy to show us around to the best spots and give us pointers along the way. Being only a year into surfing myself this was awesome!

The surfers include myself (but only a couple shots), my friend Andrew and our surf guide Mike. It also includes surfing from Leo a friend we met whist we were there and several locals who welcomed us from day one!

Hope you enjoy!

Something Japanese

January, 2012. Following up on a disappointing 2010 the winter of 2012 lived up and surpassed all expectation. Skiing knee, sometimes waist deep, in fresh Japanese powder provided the venue to our best ever skiing as well as the perfect cultural backdrop to "Something Japanese". After an additional week with the excellent Black Diamond Lodge touring Hokkaido I couldn't have asked for a better start to 2012.

Summer Docking

Summer, 2011. Another Hong Kong summer, another edit - new locations that include the Rock Pools in Sai Wan and Shek O beach area mixed with old favourites from Tai Tam. Brand new angles were used and more talents are decorated throughout and many weekends later I came up with this fast upbeat edit.

852 Waters

Summer, 2010.  Bridge jumping and diving boards were the make up of the 2010 Hong Kong summer. Shot with the then brand new Canon 7D and the waterproof Go Pro it provided the perfect backdrop to take the new camera for a spin. The short edit was filmed at Tai Tam Reservoir Country Park and the LRC; tucked away up in mid-levels.
